Book Blogger Hop (September 24-26)

Book Blogger Hop
Its the weekend again! Yeah for the weekend! That means that even though I'm super late, it's still time for the book blogger hop.

This weeks question is:
When you write reviews, do you write them as you are reading or wait until you have read the entire book?

For me, I definitely wait until I finish the book. Besides the obvious reason that I do not have the time with 2 kids hanging off me to write a review in the middle of a book, there is the other reason. That reason is that my feelings could totally change by the end of the book. I definitely feel that I need the whole book to discover if an author is a good author and has the ability to make me fall for their characters. It's one of the reasons I try to finish books I read, because I may end up really liking a book that I originally did not.

Welcome all new bloggers and have fun hopping!

  1. Just hopping by, and I'm now a new follower! Love the look and concept of your blog.

I used to have to "steal" time for reading, too. I have four children. Thankfully, they're all grown and on their own, so now I can read whenever.

Now I also obsessively blog and have thirteen (down from twenty!), which I have linked to on each of my sites.

    Just a bit of trivia....

  5. Thanks for stopping by my blog!

I absolutely understand the whole thing with feelings changing by the end of the book. That's happened to me quite often.

  7. Hoppin' on by! :)

I tend to be like you: my feelings for a book usually change drastically from the beginning and then towards the end. I don't write reviews mid-book, either -- I usually just write down important things I don't want to forget on post-its. :P

I had to lol a bit at your in the closet explanation. Not that I totally don't get what it feels like, but... I've never considered my closet for reading. xD Do you have a chair in there? Beanbags? Food? Mm food.

  14. @Kristina Barnes♥ - I have a pillow. That is the limit of me being comfortable. LOL! However, I do bring food in there. Late night snacks are the best. Especially when I bust out the oatmeal cookies and milk. I have to make them, but dang they are fun to eat whilst I read.

I always love comments, and I read every single one!

Also, this is now designated an award free zone. Although I love awards and I love everyone for thinking of me, I just don't have the time to honor them like they need to be honored. Thank you though for your consideration!
