Movie News - Volume 1

So, I actually didn't know that they were turning The Hunger Games into a movie, but I'm not the least bit surprised. I won't go into my feelings on the whole matter of books turned into movies because I don't actually know how I feel about it. My feelings are kind of here and there on the whole matter, but that isn't going to stop me from letting you all in on the info *wink wink* as me and some friends are always intrigued by the actors who are actually cast. So, without further adieu, here is the latest update from EW.com.

Josh Hutcherson
to play
Peeta Mellark

The movie will be directed by Gary Ross and the release date is currently scheduled for March 23rd, 2012.

  1. Ok, I never heard of this Jennifer person until now. Of course, she will be famous forever for doing the Hunger Games.

Liam, It took me a minute to place him. I swore I would never watch the Last Song becaus Miley was in it. But it was on TV one day and well, I broke down an watched it, only because the book was good mind you. LOL! He did alright in that movie.

Josh, well, he has been in a few movies that I've seen over and over and it is about time he gets another good movie. Way to go Josh!

Still, I have yet finish the book. I made it half way, set it down, and never picked it back up again. Perhaps, I should.

  2. I loved this series so much! I'm not sure about the casting, I'm never sure about it until I actually see the movie, but I'm sure they'll all be great. I think you have Peeta and Gale switched though, I think Liam is Gale and Josh is Peeta. 2012 is so far away, it's going to be a long wait for this one!

  4. @ Mad - I had seen her before, but I couldn't remember where so I had to look it up. She was on the Bill Engvall show and she played on Medium a couple times. I think she'll be perfect for the part. Also, I think Liam will be good for Gale, but I don't know how I feel about Josh for Peeta. I don't think I'll know til I see them in it post-production.

  6. @Mad - Okay, so I keep going all over on this one. I think that Liam would make a better Peeta in the fact that he is super hot (I think so anyway). But, he also looks like he can do sullen well and I think that will be good for Gale. I still think that movies keep casting the WRONG guy for their leads. I always end up liking the OTHER guy better. Know what I'm sayin?!

  7. I think I know what you are saying! the other guy is supposed to be the guy. Hmm... Switch them back! LOL!

I always love comments, and I read every single one!

Also, this is now designated an award free zone. Although I love awards and I love everyone for thinking of me, I just don't have the time to honor them like they need to be honored. Thank you though for your consideration!
