About Me

My name is Jen and I am a 27 year old crazy obsessed book lover.  I am also a mother of 2 little girls (3 and 1) and I live in the valley of the sun, Scottsdale, Arizona.  No, it really is called the valley of the sun, it's freaking hot in the summer and spring and even part of the winter.

I love to read and write more than just about everything (except my girls) which is why I started this blog in the first place.  However, reading, writing and blogging do not pay a single bill so I am a self-employed bookkeeper.  No, that does not mean I get paid for housing novels around the house (I wish!), it's kind of like accounting.

Whenever I have spare time I sneak into my closet, grab a book off the shelf and proceed to read as much as possible.  I really and truly do read in the closet.  My husband hates when I read and with such busy days I really only get to read in the evening and night when everyone is sleeping.  It works out most of the time, but sometimes to the point of exhaustion.  Oh well, it's worth it.  Books give me so much, so a little sleep deprivation is no biggie.

I have always been an avid reader, even when I was young.  Starting off with The American Girls Collection and The Babysitters Club and going from there.  I got spurred into fantasy with the Harry Potter novels and my love affair with all things paranormal have spurred from there.  I still read all genres, but paranormal still remains one of my favorite.
